Our fun and popular guitar ensembles!
Our Ensemble groups are pitched at varied skill levels to suit most players, and our broad repertoire ranges from pop to classical pieces, The Beatles, Gipsy Kings and Bach! and everything in between. Ensemble classes are designed by SGS Principal, Giuseppe Zangari. A highly qualified graduate and teacher of the Sydney Conservatorium. A regular performer at The Sydney Recital Hall and the Sydney Opera House with other of Australia’s finest musicians. Classes are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. Saturday and Sunday for one hour each: Monday Adults Ensemble Monday 5pm-6pm Five Dock Adults Ensemble Monday 6pm-7pm Five Dock Tuesday Online Zoom Music Theory Class Tuesday 6pm-7pm Wednesday Wednesday Jazz Guitar Ensemble Wednesday 6:30pm-7:30pm Five Dock Thursday Adults Ensemble Thursday 5:30pm-7pm Kirribilli** Saturday Parents and Children's Ensemble 3pm-4pm Five Dock (alternating start times every fortnight - 3pm one week, 4pm the other week)*** Adults Ensemble Saturday 4pm-6pm Five Dock (5 × 120 minute session fortnightly) Weeks 2, 4, 6, 8, 10. Sunday Music Theory/Musicianship Class for Kids Sunday 3pm-4pm Kirribilli 'Sunday Strum' Adults Guitar Class 4pm-5pm Kirribilli Junior Guitar Ensemble 4pm-5pm Kirribilli (Fortnightly). Weeks 1, 3, 5, 7, 9. Youth Guitar Ensemble 4pm-5pm Kirribilli (Fortnightly). Fortnightly Weeks 2, 4, 6, 8, 10. * 10 x 1 hour weekly sessions $295 per term 5 x 1 hour fortnightly sessions $177 per term **$437 per term ***$470 per term Ensemble groups are given many opportunities throughout the year to perform in public, at various community events, music societies and throughout Sydney at the Sydney Guitar School End of Year concert. |
