António Pinto Carvalho learnt the art of guitar making at the age of 10, from the teachings of his grandfather. He began by making cavaquinhos and guitars. This is the art that he would dedicate his whole life to.


In 1976 António Pinto de Carvalho founded the company APC Musical Instruments and today, is a craftsman with more than 50 years of experience and one of the most well-known Luthiers in Portugal.
