Yunah Park 2023 Concert Cedar Guitar
YUNAH PARK GUITARS - MADRID, SPAIN
This brilliant classical guitar by Korean, Spanish-based luthier, Yunah Park, is a cut above the rest in classical guitar design and playability. It is light, full of character, which, allows the guitarist to sing through the instrument! Try it for yourself!
Yunah's guitars are always made with the best woods, selected with special attention to their aesthetic and elastic qualities and, above all, their sound performance. Every detail of the instrument is handcrafted and personally made by Yunah.
Yunah studying the guitar at the age of 16 in her hometown of Seoul and knew straight away that this instrument would stay with her for the rest of her life. After graduating from the University in Korea, she decided to move to Spain to complete her studies at the "Oscar Esplá" Higher Conservatory of Music in Alicante, where she obtained the Higher Degree under the direction of Nacho Rodes.
Later, Yunah moved to Madrid, and it was there where she learned from the base and in the old-fashioned trade of guitar maker with her teacher Ángel Benito Aguado. After a few years of apprenticeship, in which she studied the great Spanish guitar makers of the early 20th century, learned to repair instruments and design plans and templates for new systems, Yunah began to build her own guitars.
In her own words:
“My guitars are conceived under the idea of a wide sound presence, focused on the needs of concert players of our time, without forgetting the colour of those Spanish guitars that captivated me from my first steps in the guitar world. In this way I try to combine the color of classical Spanish guitars, the comfort of the fingerboard, the depth of the bass and the brightness and flexibility of the edge. I am convinced that fidelity to the traditional sound of the Spanish guitar does not have to limit the search for better sound performance on the big stage.”
